Working at RW Armstrong & Sons I had the opportunity every year to design the Christmas Card that goes out to all the corporate clients. I have consistently enjoyed this project as I have creative freedom to come up with the design and the style. Each card I play up on the construction theme, creating designs that relate to both the holiday and the nature of the business. Illustration is something I really enjoy, so I create my own imagery where possible.
Alongside the cards I also designed the artwork to brand client and employee gifts, this included branded ribbon, notecards and custom tags. We created custom branding or gifts such as Diptyque candles and Melt Advent Calendars.
In addition to designing the artwork for the company Christmas cards I also had the opportunity to design a one year anniversary card. This card was for all the companies within the group, and is given to employees to congratulate them on reaching one year of service. I used the same approach as with the Christmas cards, brainstorming fun and playful ideas that incorporate the construction theme in a lighthearted and clever way. Making the most of illustrations as it is one of my strengths.
