On Saturday 29 June 2024 RW Armstrong threw a summer party at Dummer Down Farm for employees and their families, the afternoon was packed with fun, food and festivities. The day was filled with the best food from local artisan suppliers, a silent disco, 2024 Euros on the big screen and mini olympics.
Working as the in-house Graphic Designer within the Marketing Department my role was to create the visual identity for the big event; this included the colour palette, typography and logo. I then used these elements to create save the dates in the form of email campaigns and fridge magnets. To spread awareness for the event and encourage employees to register for tickets we put posters up on all the sites with QR codes that linked to the event website we created. Invitations were send out in the post as well as emailed which included all of the information for the day.
As well as branded materials to 'advertise' the event I designed and produced all o the signage, and fun extra touches such as beermats, welcome packs which included food and drink vouchers, a welcome leaflet, stickers, wristbands and beer pump signs for our very own RW Armstrong crafted beer.
Variety of beermats.
Two different types of food and drink vouchers, one for children with soft drinks and one or adults.
Beer pump artwork.
Examples of different signage around the event grounds.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole project and enjoyed the challenge of implementing the graphic elements and rules I created across different design elements and mediums, it was especially rewarding to see everything come together at the event. The Marketing team I am a part of organised the whole event which gave me the opportunity to be involved with the planning, organising and execution of the event which I found to be such a useful learning experience.
